Control Electricity, Water and Sewage charges

Electricity, water, and sewage are basic facilities that should be made available to every Windsorite at reasonable rates. Unfortunately, during the last few years these costs have increased because of inefficient public management systems, not because the intrinsic costs have gone up or because availability of energy or water has become scarce. If the managements in the city is focused on providing these services at reasonable costs, it CAN.

 

Till 1995, the Property Tax included the costs of water and sewage. After separation, the costs to the property owners have risen substantially. But it has not yet led to any improvement in quality of services. Thus in 2017, more than 1700 properties suffered major losses due to sewage back-up into the basements. Citizens feel that these are losses, which the citizens have to bear due to faulty engineering or due to lack of addition of capacity, as the city grows.
